ABOUT IYFF.

The Indiana Youth Film Festival was created in 2023 as the ONLY film festival in Indiana soley dedicated to young filmmakers ages 12-24 years old! Every year, we facilitate a two day festival full of screenings, filmmaker talk backs, workshops, panels, and so much more for the filmmakers and the entire community.
Filmmakers who submit to this festival have the chance to win awards like Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best High School/Middle School Picture, and more. At IYFF, young filmmakers can connect with local creatives, watch other Indiana films, and gain potential mentorship opportunities! This festival is not only for filmmakers but for any creative, film lover, community member, or youth supporter!
OUR VALUES.
We celebrate and elevate works by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women and other young individuals from traditionally marginalized communities.
For many young people, creative expression is an outlet and a way to find purpose, build resilience, and stay on a positive path. By providing an accessible, inclusive space to explore filmmaking, IYFF encourages experimentation, discovery, and self-expression without barriers.
We aim to give young filmmakers a platform to present their work in the way it deserves to be watched.
