He's worked on many different independent sets ranging from student short films, to freelance videography, to a professional movie production. Most recently, Niso started a brand-new independent film production company dedicated to expanding opportunities for independent filmmakers & artists, under the title Boiling Cactus Productions. The studio has recently completed principal photography for their first film titled Trade-Off, written, directed, and produced by Niso Kapsalis. He hopes to spread the love & passion of filmmaking, grow opportunity in Indiana, and continue to work with people who have a genuine kindness.

Dija Renuka

Dija Renuka is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, author, and mental health advocate dedicated to telling stories that heal and transform. As the founder and Executive Producer of Blue House Entertainment, she creates films that elevate marginalized voices, explore mental health, and spark heart-shifting conversations around identity, legacy, and love.

Of Jamaican and Indian descent, Dija brings a deeply personal lens to her storytelling—one shaped by a multicultural and interfaith upbringing, a life of community service, and the spiritual convictions passed down from generations. Her work centers women and multicultural identities, exploring what it means to live with authenticity while honoring where we come from. â€‹Dija’s films are known for their emotionally grounded performances, vibrant visuals, and a tone that blends tenderness with transformative truth. She is drawn to stories that raise the emotional vibration of her audience and believes in creating safe, collaborative environments for her cast and crew to bring their best selves to the work.

Her credits include Rasheeda’s Freedom Day (winner, Austin International Art Festival), Breathe (winner, Chi-Town Multicultural Film Festival), and Love, Jordan (winner, Chi-Town Multicultural Film Festival), which address generational trauma, grief, and mental health with beauty and hope. Her recent youth-centered short, The Sound of Love, was created in collaboration with KIPP Indy students and The Felege Hiywot Center to explore identity and the solutions to crime in their community.
